Skip the delivery fee and make pizza dough from scratch. This is about as uncomplicated as homemade dough gets: four pantry staples, a couple of hours on the counter, and you’re ready for pizza night.
Even better, you can keep it in the refrigerator for 5–7 days, which means future-you can have homemade pizza without starting from scratch.
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1½ tsp. kosher salt
- 1½ tsp. yeast
- 1½ cups water
Directions
- Mix the flour, kosher salt, yeast, and water together until combined.
- Cover and let the dough rest on the counter for 2 hours.
- Use right away, or refrigerate for 5–7 days.
Make It Your Own
This is your blank canvas. Use it for pizza, calzones, or whatever else needs a good pizza dough base. Make the dough ahead and keep it chilled so you’re not starting dinner from zero when the pizza craving hits.
Laura’s Tip
The refrigerator is part of the magic here. Make the dough when you have a few minutes, then use it sometime over the next 5–7 days. Homemade pizza feels a whole lot easier when the dough is already waiting for you.
