Longhorn Steakhouse Parmesan Chicken

If the Parmesan-crusted chicken is the reason you order chicken at LongHorn, this one is for you. Juicy chicken with that cheesy, crispy Parmesan topping gives you the restaurant-style dinner without having to leave the house.

I adapted this copycat version from The Cozy Cook, then did what I usually do—used the recipe as a guide and made it work in my kitchen.

Make It Your Own

Change the cheese: Provolone is great, but another mild melting cheese can work if that’s what you have.

Change the marinade: If you need a shortcut, Italian dressing can pull double duty as an easy marinade.

And don’t feel married to one cooking method. This kind of chicken can be adapted for the skillet, oven, or grill depending on the day and the weather.

Laura’s Tip

The topping is the star, so give it a chance to get bubbly and golden at the end. That little bit of browning is what takes it from cheesy chicken to Parmesan-crusted chicken.
