Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Espresso

Coffee-shop coffee without the coffee-shop trip. This is my easy take on the Starbucks favorite: espresso, brown sugar, cinnamon, oat milk, and plenty of ice.

It’s simple enough to make at home, and the best part is you get to decide exactly how sweet, strong, or creamy you want it.

Watch Me Make It

Ingredients

  • 2 shots espresso
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • ¼ cup unsweetened oat milk
  • 1 dash cinnamon

Directions

  1. Brew 2 shots of espresso.
  2. Add the brown sugar and cinnamon to the hot espresso and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the ice and shake or stir well to chill the espresso.
  4. Pour in the oat milk and serve.

Make It Your Own

Want it sweeter? Add a little more brown sugar. Want the coffee flavor stronger? Use less oat milk—or add another shot of espresso.

Oat milk gives this drink its signature flavor, but use whatever milk you actually like. You can also play with the cinnamon or add a splash of vanilla.

That’s the nice thing about making coffee at home: nobody charges you extra for changing your mind

Laura’s Tip

Stir the brown sugar into the espresso while it’s still hot. It dissolves much more easily before you add the ice.
