Twix Bars

These are dangerous in the best possible way: crunchy crackers, a chewy caramel-style layer, and chocolate-peanut butter on top. They’re called Twix Bars, but they’re also one of those desserts where you cut yourself a tiny piece…and somehow come back for another tiny piece four times.

This version was inspired by An Affair from the Heart.

Here’s the Recipe

Make It Your Own

Change the chocolate: Semi-sweet is great, but milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or white chocolate can completely change the bars.

Change the nut butter: Peanut butter isn’t the only option. Almond, cashew, or a seed butter can work too.

And cut them however you want—bars, squares, or little bite-size pieces. There are no Twix police.

Laura’s Tip

Chill them thoroughly before cutting. The layers need time to set, and a sharp knife will give you much cleaner pieces.
